Easy Last Minute Decorating...

  This is a great Decorating Book I picked up at my favorite thrift store.  The title is Country Decorating through the seasons.  It is about 10 years old.  It appears as if it had never been opened. And you would never know it was 10 years old the photographs are beautiful and the ideas are awesome.  I thought I would share one that I found interesting.  I have used stencils to decorated eggs before but not this easy technique. Many of you may  have decorated eggs this way...but I had not.  
They took hard boiled eggs...placed a leaf or I guess you could use any shape on the egg..using a cut up piece of hose or nylons to wrap the egg, then dipped the egg into the dye.  My favorite part was, how they used the excess twisted part of the hose for a handle to make dipping into the dye easier.  And pulling up tight around the leaf keeps the leaf from slipping...anything to make it easier!!!
As you can see it creates a beautiful stencil.
