Today's Project is so fast and easy! With a small amount of wall paper border,
chip board letters, upholstery tacks, and some ribbon or suede lacing you can have a great looking home accent piece for any area of your home.
Apply this to any room...Kids bedrooms with their names on it, bathrooms, entry ways with your last name...the possibilities are endless.
As shown I used wallpaper border, foam board, tissue paper, decoupage medium, paint, upholstery tacks, chip board letters, ribbon, pop dots, hole puncher and scissors.
Cut foam board to the length and width of wall paper border.
Use decoupage medium to adhere backside of wallpaper border to foam board. Rub top of wallpaper gently with damp paper towel, working out any air bubbles as you go. Let dry.
If you wish to have a ribbon running along edge of border, carefully poke holes through both border and foam board. Weave ribbon through holes. Glue upholstery tacks about 1"inch apart along top and bottom edge. To cover white edge of foam board, I tore and then glued pieces of tissue paper around outside edge of my Bon Appetit' Sign.
I painted my chip board letters dark brown and highlighted them with a mustard color. I used black pop dots to adhere the letters to my sign board.
This sign will look great over my kitchen window! No one will ever know that it was made from a piece of scrap white foam board instead of wood.
Unless of course you tell them. :)
Again, the possibilities are endless with this idea...A "Little Princess" babies room...as a holiday greeting on your front door...or dress up your laundry room with a clever verse, or personalize for great holiday gift giving!!!
As always....ENJOY!!
